Les Deux Chevres is very quaint and is set in the most spectacular location in Gevrey Chambertin. Our host and owner, Paul, is welcoming and very interesting. The wine cellar offers a great and intimate wine tasting. My friend and I took a cooking lesson from Chef Kevin which was fantastic. He also prepares the dinners at Les Deux Chevres. Not only was the presentation gorgeous...the food was superb! I plan to go back again and again!

I agree with Akiko and Bob that Les Deux Chevres deserves 5 stars. Situated in the beautiful and peaceful town of Gevrey Chambertin, Les Deux provides a very comfortable stay for anyone visiting the Burgundy region. We made 2 day trips to Beaune and Dijon from here.
Our room was well appointed with an updated and spacious bathroom (with both a shower and bathtub). We stayed in July and appreciated the air conditioning unit, although it was a tad noisy. The owner, Peter, was always available and spoke English which was very helpful. We had access to the living room and kitchen, which provided everything we needed (e.g. coffee and tea, aluminum foil, plates, cups, silverware).
One of my favorite memories while staying at the hotel was our evening walks. We could walk outside and admire the gorgeous vineyards (just a few steps away), walk to downtown to have dinner, or walk through the quiet neighborhood to photograph the surrounding vineyards.
Les Deux also has a great patio where you can have breakfast, light snacks (salad, cheese, fresh pasta), and drinks. We arrived around 1pm and had a charcuterie plate and wine while enjoying the warm sunshine. It was picture perfect and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant afternoon.
The hotel is housed in an old winery, and they still have a working wine cellar. We did wine tasting in their cave and really enjoyed the informative presentation from Matt! It was a group of 4 with my husband, myself, and one other couple. Matt was very passionate and knowledgeable about wine but provided the information in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
If we ever have a chance to visit Burgundy again, we will be sure to stop by Les Deux Chevres! -

Two nights here, room 1. Great place for the north end of burgundy. Owner, Peter, is from UK and very helpful with suggestions. Breakfast quite good, lots of choices but resist too much as the food later in the day will be the real deal. Gevery, a very short walk to center of town, has a few restaurants. Highly recommend locating here as a base for the area. Then go to Beaune.

A truly wonderful stay! We stayed here for two nights while driving through France and it was well worth it. Charming property, spacious room and attentive, helpful owners/ hosts.
Delicious and fresh breakfast.
A close walk to the center of the charming village. -

What a charming and romantic hotel it was! We stayed here for 2 nights in June, and it was too short. It's in such a great location for so many things to do, the room was beautiful to the detail, the bathroom was spacious, breakfast in the patio was absolutely relaxing, and the owner couple and people who work there were super super nice. I definitely would like to stay there again next time we visit Burgundy area.
Also I loved the wine tasting we did in their cellar. It was from 5:30 pm and £35 per person. Matt who was leading the tasting was not only knowledgeable but also fun. Slideshow was helpful to refresh my memory and also to learn new things. We tried 8 kinds of Burgundy wine including one sparkling. All of them were beautiful, some of them were incredible though none of them were so expensive. We made a mixed case, and they shipped it safely to our home in California.
One of things I definitely want to do next time is cycling around the area. They have several bikes for guests to use. Since our time was so limited, we chose to drive instead, but the surrounding area we drove was spectacular. It must be so much fun to cycle. Next time!
